The cup is finely potted with deep fluted sides rising from a tall footring to a lobed rim, covered with a thick greyish-green glaze suffused with a matrix of dark grey crackles. The unglazed foot reveals the dark stoneware body. Although the glazes of most Longquan celadon wares exhibit a bluish-green hue and are lack of crackles, fine crackled wares were also made at the Longquan kilns during the Southern Song period to imitate the Ge-type wares.
